Special Thanks to Live Music For Dance, The Dance Collection at the New York Public Library, Harkness Foundation, 92 Street Y, Joan Finkelstein, New York State Council on the Arts for supporting this bicentennial celebration (2004) of Haiti’s independence. The original production choreographed by Marcea Daiter and Catherine Turocy included Dallas Black Dance Theater, Concert Royal, a Drum Ensemble lead by Master Drummer Damas Fan-Fan Louis and the NYBDC. We would be very interested to develop an educational component and tour this production.
