Historical Dance at Play: Which Way to Parnassus?

The virtue of the dance is simply an outward manifestation of the movements of the soul…Guglielmo of Pesaro, On The Practice Or Art Of Dancing, c. 1460

“What comes first, style, steps, or spirit?” Join eight embodied dance historians to find out as we uncover the dynamic and delicate process of discovery! Our presenters will share their strategies, success and, sometimes failures, to transform mere steps into powerfully expressed, even sublime, action.

Historical Dance at Play: Which Way to Parnassus?

Virtual Zoom workshop exploring embodiment of style in dance across cultures and time.

$35.00

Tuition is only $35 and acts as an entrance fee to all presentations. The NYBDC works to keep the tuition low so money is not a barrier, and, at the same time, with a healthy volume of students we are able to pay our presenters and cover the workshop production expenses.

Contact Jennifer Meller at jenbeast@gmail.com with any questions.

Registration/Payment : Once payment has been made registration is assured and you will receive future emails concerning the workshop.

Caroline Copeland Talks about the workshop!
