Julia Bengtsson from New York Baroque Dance Company leads a special presentation along with live violin accompaniment to teach about the social dances that were danced by the American people in the years following the revolutionary war. This program explores the social dances of the era and the history of Francis Johnson, the African American composer who became a leading figure on the American social dance scene.
Location: Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library, 40 Lincoln Center Plaza (entrance at 111 Amsterdam between 64th and 65th).

Friday, June 19 at 6-7pm: Dancing the Revolution Online Class
We are looking forward to our June 28th Ball. This class is a chance to prepare and practice for the ball by reviewing Revolutionary dance etiquette and looking at minuet variations current at the time. This fun class is for beginners and for those who would like to brush up on their technique.
