Dancing the Revolution!!!

Sunday, June 28, 2026, Good Shepherd Church

152 West 66th Street, NYC (near Lincoln Center)

4:30 to 6:30pm, Costumes admired but not required.

The New York Baroque Dance Company cordially invites you to an afternoon of refreshments, diversions, and entertainment. There will be live Music, Dancing, and Demonstrations from the NYBDC members including Julia Bengtsson, Aikiu Chomphuworn, Kaede Hibara, Sam Humphreys, Adelle Lorraine and Patrick Pride. Be an observer or participate!

Repertoire includes social dances from 1750 to 1830, reflecting life before and after the American Revolution. You will hear music and dance by African American composer Francis Johnson (1792-1844), along with songs from the Revolutionary period. Don’t miss this celebration of the 250th Anniversary of our country’s founding.
